I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey and New York and have been working with adolescents, young adults and families for more than 8 years. I am very well versed in treating individuals and families with anxiety, depression, trauma, and familial-related issues. I am skilled in using evidence based practices and integrating yogic and experiential technique. My loving and genuine approach allows me to connect easily to clients and build authentic relationships quickly.

I attended Columbia University’s School of Social Work to gain my Master’s of Science in Social Work specializing in advanced clinical practice. Upon graduation, I worked as a Primary Therapist and Field Supervisor at two reputable wilderness therapy programs in North Carolina and Idaho, focusing on students and families struggling in their home environment.  Shortly thereafter, I spent four years supporting youth and their families transition from inpatient therapy back into their communities or a college setting. I have maintained a private practice since 2012.

I feel privileged to build deep relationships with my clients at some of the most vulnerable times of their lives and guide them on their own path of healing. I practice this work in my own life by cultivating a strong loving relationship with myself and my family. I maintain balance by deepening my daily yoga practice, and regularly go hiking with my husband and two daughters.

About the practice

My practice is focused on treating children, teens, families and young adults who may be facing challenges in any aspect of their personal, educational, or social life.

Psychotherapy is one way to help connect with your personal truth and purpose. It can support you, your child or your family organize your thoughts, and relationships, identify your core feelings and rewrite your narratives for healing and growth. My style is warm and deeply attentive, starting first with the development of a genuine relationship. Then we will proceed to collaboratively create a treatment plan to achieve your goals using evidence based practices and reliable tools.

I proficiently work with clients and families using evidenced based practices including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused–Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, The Systems Approach to Structural Family Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My background as a wilderness therapist and EAGALA (Equine assisted psychotherapy) and teaching yoga further allow me to work with clients outside of the box.

I am looking forward to creating a meaningful therapeutic relationship with you. Please contact me with any questions.
